Karpathos is a very wellknown windy place amoung windsurfers. Kurt brought windsurfing to Karpathos in 1991 and since 2013 he also invited Kitesurfers to Agrilapotamos. A small kite school at the beach offers lessons and rents kite gear for advanced kitesurfers.
In July and August windsurfing experts have fun in the bay of Agrilapotamos, also known as "Luv-, or Wave Spot".

Without any doubt, Karpathos also invites you to hike.The path down from the Lastos plain to Adia is spectacular and provides breathtaking views all the way. If you are a real athlete, just walk the other direction. It wil take youabout 3.5 hours downward. Starting with comparativly wide paths the hiking tour will also acquaint you with narrow trails along sheer rock walls. You will pass through small groves of pine

until after about two thirds the very welcome freshwater spring awaits you. Another hour though the bougainvilleas forest placed between steep climbing rocks, you may even encounter a daring rope team here indulging in their passion.

At the end of the trail lures the Pine Tree. Nicos the landlord is a gardener by heart who has created his own paradise. Like every other member of his guild he is helpful and social. For the way back to Lastos he will organize the transfer, sometimes even do it himself.
